- -> How about getting a CLUE!! Many people use UUCP connections to get their
- -> mail and have to pay toll &/or hourly charges on the line, _they_ do not
- -> have a choice of what is bundled & DL'd to them. Not everyone has a direct

- -> put a proper "From" line in your messages, having trouble configuring your

- Ok my bust I did forget to fill in the proper from field but that ID up there
- will still reach me through my ISP. Apparently I have a very good ISP
- because they have no problems whatsoever in configuring UUCP
- bundles to the users taste. They give out a config package to identify
- packets to avoid like multipost headers and msgs over a certain line limit
- etc. They do not feel this is a hardship or difficult in anyway, guess just having
- a courteous ISP that looks completely after it's customers is what's in order
- here. My apologies for the FLAME earlier. Guess I just have a really good
- ISP that has no problems configuring UUCP packets like they do for our
- BBS. Oh well.......

- P.S. Get with your ISP's and ask them directly about configuring a UUCP
- package to avoid certain things... You don't have to go crazy with the
- avoidance ending up missing real news but you can configure things like
- Identifying multipart multi line posts (binaries) or to look for uucode
- start strings like begin 644 etc. You might be surprised if there is a tech
- at your ISP who can help you. (don't talk to sales or admin) they only
- speak the language of money and more lines etc.
